Getting Closer

I started taking Estrace a little over a week ago which helps to prepare the uterus for embryo implantation.  I go back to the clinic for an ultrasound to be sure the uterus is progressing properly and for lab work.  I will continue the estrogen until 9 weeks of pregnancy.  The meds are not making me feel weird thank goodness.  At the beginning the Lupron shots were causing me to get migraine like headaches but once the Estrace was added the headaches went away.  I take Estrace twice a day for now and in a couple days I start taking it 3 times a day.  I am still taking Lupron everyday, I look forward to not having to give myself shots daily. My husband and I have been reading egg adoption material hoping to be prepared for the future.  We have decided to tell our child/children right away.  We will practice talking about it when they are infants and continue in each developmental stage to tell them what they can understand.  It has been studied that this is an easier way for the child to understand.  This helps the child to not be shocked at a later time in life.  A really informative site that really coincides with what I have learned from the health care professionals involved in my process.
