Romans 4:18-21 Abraham's faithfulness is so inspiring to me, I have named my blog after God's promise to Abraham. He promised Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the STARS IN THE SKY. Even though this seemed impossible at the time, Abraham believed God and his faith brought glory to the Lord.

Sonohysterogram
Today was my first official appointment for the start of the process! The nurse went over the tentative schedule with me which includes when to take certain meds, when to come in for appointments, what labs I need, and when we plan to do the transfer. The doctor did a procedure for me today called a sonohysterogram. This is where he is able to visualize the inside of the uterus to ensure there are no abnormalities. Pretty painless besides a few cramps when the water is injected. He said it looks great and that I got an A+! He says there is nothing that he can see that would lessen my chances for being able to carry a baby. This is great news. I will go next week to have a few labs drawn. For now I will continue on the bc pills until May 28th, then start Lupron shots on May 24th, and then my last period for at least nine whole months will start on June 1st. I go in for an ultrasound on June 3rd to be sure everything is looking the way it should at that time of my cycle. The next day I start on Estrogen and my hubby takes his Doxycycline. More labs and ultrasounds on June 15th ish and that is the day of the egg retrieval and sperm specimen obtained. This is when it will be getting really really exciting!!!! The eggs and sperm will be put together. Since we are sharing a donor with another couple we will get half of whatever the donor makes. Then the next few days the embryonic lab people will be calling us giving us updates on how our embryos are maturing. We will go in for the transfer around June 26th. We are so excited. This baby is such a miracle, I pray for our future child/children everyday. Thank God for this miracle. I am also praying for the donor, that everything goes smoothly for her. I know it must be so hard to take all those meds, shots, and go through all those moods. She is seriously an angel for doing this. Wow.
